The first draft of the Institute for Cellular Biology and Pathology (ICBP) was made by Professors Nicolae Simionescu and Maya Simionescu. They initiated this project, while in USA at the invitation of Professor George Palade with which they collaborated at the Rockefeller University and Yale University (1970 -1979).
